Frequently Asked Questions

What will my first session entail?

We will begin by taking a full and thorough case history. This will involve asking you about your issue and why you’ve come to see us. We will then go through your medical history; some of the questions might not seem relevant to the issue you’ve come in with, but it helps give us a broad overview of your health.

Following this, we will then examine you, assessing how you move and looking for areas that may need treatment. We will then explain to you what we believe is causing you pain, and how we can tackle this together.

Treatment will then commence. We use hands-on soft tissue therapy, and if we feel it is appropriate, we may recommend you undergo a spinal manipulation (often accompanied with a clicking or popping sound). We will then go through some exercises for you to be doing at home.

What can you treat?

Osteopathy specialises in the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal and other related physical disorders. We can help with any aches and pains you may be experiencing, as well as any more serious injuries, sporting or otherwise. We can also help with post-surgical rehabilitation.

Is there parking?

Yes. There is plenty of free parking around the side-streets of the studio.

What should I wear?

Wearing clothes you would normally wear to exercise in will be best; shorts, leggings and vests will be best.

Do I have to dress down?

We try to avoid dressing down where possible, but sometimes in order to get a good view of how a certain area moves, we may ask you to dress down.

How long is the session?

The first session is 60 minutes. All subsequent sessions will be 30 minutes.

How much does it cost?

All sessions cost £50.
